Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join the Portfolio Management team as a Configuration Specialist. The ideal teammate will have demonstrated ability to lead the configuration, optimization, and integration of enterprise software systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient technology solutions.
About the Position
The Configuration Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining configurations, workflows, and integrations across key enterprise systems. This role ensures optimal performance and alignment of systems with organizational goals by collaborating closely with stakeholders, engineers, and end-users.
What you will do
The Configuration Specialist leads configuration initiatives and workflow design to improve system functionality, drive automation, and ensure reliable, efficient operations across the Walton Enterprises technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead configuration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise software applications and systems.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions and system configurations.
- Design, document, and implement workflows, automations, and integrations across systems.
- Conduct requirements analysis sessions and solution design reviews to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to manage integrations between applications and third-party systems.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for Level 2 and 3 support to resolve complex system and configuration issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, workflows, and integrations.
- Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) and change management activities to support successful system adoption.
- Monitor system performance and usage to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Serve as subject matter expert and system owner for designated enterprise platforms.

Qualifications required for your success
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 6+ years of experience in application configuration, business systems analysis, or workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of system configuration, business process automation and integration best practices.
- Demonstrated background with workflow management and configuration of enterprise applications/systems.
- Strong analytical background to support analysis of business requirements and translate them to technical configurations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
- Broad understanding of business and application software
- Strong ability to facilitate requirements meetings and the ability to create detailed documentation from those meetings.
- Strong competencies and understanding of enterprise applications including Slack, Atlassian Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong understanding and ability to use diagraming tools like Miro, Lucid or similar.
- Strong understanding and ability to work with relational databases like SQL, MYSQL or similar.
- Good understanding of JSON structures, Javascript and HTML
- Good understanding of API’s and automation
- Good understanding of the change management process and the ability to lead these efforts.

Benefits Information
Compensation Range: $98,000 - $122,000

The Information Technology Department provides a suite of services including hardware and software support, custom application development, cybersecurity, networking and tools for software integration.
