Position: Senior Coordinator, Accounting
Department: Accounting
Reporting to: Manager, Accounting
Location: Bentonville, AR
 
Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Senior Coordinator, Accounting. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to bring proven experience to supporting the accounting team and collaborating across the organization.

What you will do
 
Responsibilities
• Perform daily bank reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded, and discrepancies are promptly identified and resolved.
• Responsible for reviewing risk items such as deposits in transit, unmatched wires, and other discrepancies.
• Communicate with the accounting team to address and resolve open items in a timely manner.
• Report and track connectivity issues with banking systems, working closely with IT and other teams to ensure timely resolution and minimize impact on operations.
• Maintain banking information across multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy through cross-reference audits and other efficient verification methods.
• Work with cross-functional teams and systems to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of reconciliation processes.
• Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of financial reports and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Provide support for various ad hoc tasks as required, contributing to the broader goals of the accounting team.
 
Who we are looking for
 
Qualifications required for your success
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in cash management, ideally within an accounting or financial services environment.
• Possess a solid understanding of banking, accounting, and technical systems.
• Excel in prioritizing tasks, managing time effectively, and working independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
• Have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Provide financial and analytical support, including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on reconciliation status
• Track and resolve issues and implement reporting to monitor and address data discrepancies.
• Demonstrate the ability to learn new systems and applications, as well as the ability to understand, adapt and adjust responsibilities/workflows due to system changes.

Benefits Information
 
Compensation Range: $74,000 - $93,000
 
Benefits Information: We offer a comprehensive and generous benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off.
