Qualifications required for your success
- Bachelors’ or graduate degree with a record of high academic achievement. Backgrounds may vary; however, candidates must be competent in investment finance concepts and enjoy quantitative as well as investment operations work. While no background in business, finance or accounting is required, typical backgrounds include economics, accounting, finance, business, or STEM.
- Investment industry or related experience, ideally in roles with significant project leadership and analytical responsibilities where attention to details is essential
- Strong technical and computing skills, including excellent command of the Microsoft Office’ suite of productivity tools (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI)
- Walton Enterprises supports the pursuit of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and other related professional designations
Additional qualifications
- Ability to meet goals ahead of deadlines, prioritize assignments, and multi-task
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrated by ability to distill complex concepts into concise, plain English
- Knowledge of computer programing in Visual Basic, Python or R a plus
- Knowledge of database management tools and techniques a plus
- Experience with advanced reporting tools such as PowerBI or Tableau a plus
- Demonstrated desire to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or other related professional designations a plus
- Sincere interest in and/or experience in investments and financial markets, private client service, and generating returns to drive philanthropic capital
